Perhaps the most obvious advantage - unreal contrast OLED-TV
LG 55EG960V. Any transitions of light and shade, any combination of brightness
are the TV with ease: each pixel is lit or switched off separately, which
allows you to send a stunningly realistic portrayal. More importantly, it can
be seen not only in total darkness but also in normal room lighting.
If you focus on the differences from the previous models, in
addition to the obvious advantages in resolution, in EG960V model a better
shadow detail and finer gradients study. Probably, it is an achievement of
10-bit panel, which is used in 4K OLED.
For example, the test broadcast in 4K 10-bit format looks
stunning. This is partly the merit of high-quality recording, but also a TV
here, no doubt, contributes.
Action scenes in general, has not changed: default, we got

Problems with uniformity, well-documented in international

could not be seen on a dark gray background, as well as the brightness
difference between the center and edges of the screen. In general, a test
sample we were lucky, but we must bear in mind that things can only be estimated
on the basis of extensive statistics. Banal check before buying to avoid many
problems.
Another reason for possible criticism - lack of HDR support
for HDMI-sources. This means that future 4K Blu-Ray players will work with
television as usual, while the content can support HDR. However, the TV can
support HDR for Internet streaming, and at this point it's pretty promising
(and most popular) way to deliver content. The corresponding update to the TV
should come before the end of the year.
TV looks fantastic format Ultra HD. Contrast OLED gives it
the depth and realism, which lacks an LCD TV - once seen, it is very difficult
to forget.
"Out of the box" settings

viewing content with accurate color reproduction.

except for the annoying "bug" with a yellow color. However, all this
is fixable.
Need calibration
Setting OLED-TV - a very non-trivial process. Here, even
more subtleties than any LCD TV. However, we must admit that LG 55EG960V depth
image settings with ISF certification work more smoothly and predictably than
its predecessors. So LG calibration process was certainly easier.
Gamma calibration after close to 2.4, which is better suited
high contrast OLED-TV. Color balance is well corrected by two points, and
in-depth 20-point adjustment straightened all remaining roughness. The average
error in the Delta E grayscale - 0.58, with no side effects (unlike previous
models of LG), we did not mention. As a starting point I had to take a broad

decreased from 4.2 to 2.92 - on natural colors distortion returned to normal.
Calibration of the OLED-TV still requires special attention.
But setting began to work better, and you can count on more accurate results.
Infinite contrast
Contrast OLED-TV - simply stunning phenomenon. This is the
rare case where the aid is "wow-effect" and the casual viewer, and a
seasoned expert - at least in our comparative test no one indifferent. So, the
model LG 55EG960V continues this tradition.
It would seem that what can be improved? For example, EG960V
has an improved anti-reflective coating, whereby it looks even better in bright
light. At first not even believe how lively and profound picture of the TV when
it should have been reflected lights and white walls. About a dark room, you
can not talk - here any OLED-TV (old and new) goes into the gap.
Instrumental measurements showed that the TV conditional
"infinite" contrast (black goes to zero), so OLED difficult to
compare with something else, but the best plasma TVs Pioneer KURO level or the
Panasonic VT60 .
Technology is now available on the market, simply do not
pull on the comparison with OLED Contrast: LCD TVs of all types and stripes
remain far behind.

at 4-5, but webOS 2.0 works much more smoothly - this is one of the main
differences from the previous version.
Built-in TV Player is easy to cope with all formats. Special
attention was paid to the codec HEVC / H.265 format and 4K. TV easily
reproduced all the "heavy" files, including 4K with a bit rate of 100
Mbit / s. Moreover, high speed rewinding and searching for hints that your TV
is not the limit. In general, the player has pleased us, like all the rest.
By the way, despite the fact that the system webOS 2.0 - the
basic platform for TVs LG 2015, owners of last year's TVs (ie with the first
version of webOS) will be able to get an update.
The updated system webOS 2.0 has become more convenient and
smooth - especially under load. So far, the platform looks like the most
elaborate Smart TV system of the ones that we have tested.
Rich equipment
